Organizations
How the MCP server chooses the organization that a tool acts on.
In PROlinks, links, domains, tags and campaigns belong to an organization. Your API token belongs to your user, so it can reach every organization that you are a member of.
How the server chooses the organization
Every tool accepts an optional organization_id argument. The server uses this order:
- If the tool call includes
organization_id, the server uses that organization. - If not, the server uses your current organization, the one that is selected in the dashboard.
- If you have no current organization, the server uses the first organization that you joined.
If you are a member of one organization only, you never need organization_id.
Work with more than one organization
Ask the assistant to list your organizations first. Then name the organization in your prompt:
List my PROlinks organizations, then show the tags in the "Acme" organization.
The assistant calls list-organizations-tool, finds the ID of "Acme" and sends it as organization_id in the next call.
Plans and limits are per organization
Each organization has its own plan. The server checks API access and the request limit for the organization that the tool acts on, not for your user. Read Limits and errors.
